Enter now! The Waterways Renaissance Awards 2010
Do you have project in, on or alongside one of the UK’s inland waterways? We want to hear about the many innovative ways that rivers, canals, lochs, lakes and becks are being used to enhance enjoyment and quality of life in our towns and cities.
You have until 24th September to enter. Visit www.bura.org.uk/awards for more information and to download an entry form.
Why should I enter?
Entering and winning awards is not only a great morale booster for your staff and volunteers, but gives you the opportunity to reflect upon and learn from your past work. Not to mention gaining you and your team a reputation for excellence that can help win contracts and impress clients.
This is what a one of last year’s winners had to say about their experience of entering the awards:
“I was struck by the diversity and scale of projects. It demonstrated a healthy appreciation that it isn’t the big flashy projects which necessarily have the greatest impact in an area. A thoroughly enjoyable event and I came away with more ideas than I had when I arrived.
It was great to receive the award. Sometimes you get so involved in the day to day business of the project that you can take the work and your colleagues for granted. What the award and the comments of the panel did for me was to make me realise just how vital our particular partnership structure and approach is to the success of everything we do.”
