Details To promote excellence in environmental reporting.

Entry Requirements Any professional article, programme or campaign written, produced or undertaken in the UK (falling within the relevant category) and published, transmitted or coordinated in the UK during the period 1 January 1999 to 1 July 2001, is eligible for judging.
Entry Fee 50 or 15 for NGO's/Freelancers
Criteria Summary The judges will be looking for work: that has made evident, in an unprecedented, dramatic or accessible way, how the environment affects our lives and the solutions available; that covers issues of sustainability; that has had a major impact on public opinion or on policy; that has made the issues relevant to new audiences; that required exceptional perseverance to be realised; that demonstrates investigative and journalistic flair.
Judges The British Environment & Media Awards Jury consists of eight panels, comprising different media specialists who will draw up a shortlist of three and the outright winner for each category. Joy Johnson is the Judging Chair for this category.
