Biffaward is a multi-million pound fund which awards grants to community and environmental projects across the UK. The fund's money comes from landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services. Biffaward is managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) on Biffa’s behalf.
Funding activities since 1997, grants made from the fund currently amount to £100 million, supporting many worthwhile projects.

To recognise the value of the projects they support, every year Biffaward hold an awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the funded projects.
The event is a traditional awards ceremony which rewards outstanding projects with a further recognition, including financial rewards as well as a trophy to display at their project.
20 projects from around the UK have been shortlisted this year.
£2,000 will be awarded to the winner of each category:
• Small Grants
• Buildings for Community and Culture
• Community Outdoor Recreation
• Natural Environment
An overall winner will scoop the top award of an additional £5,000.
This is an opportunity to thank Biffa Waste Management for their ongoing support and to reward and recognise the contribution the individual projects have made to their community and environment.
